Visitors over the Weekend!

Kayla and Mya came to visit Ashlyn and I this past weekend while our husbands were out icefishing. Kayla helped me paint the basement so that was great and Ashlyn and Mya got to just hang out and play!!! They are so cute...

Our Project

Well, Damien has been hard at work for months finishing our basement. We were lucky to have some really nice friends that helped us out during various phases of the project! We are heading into the home stretch and things are starting to come together. We hope to be finished with mostly everything by the first week of February. I thought I'd post a few pics of the progress so far. Will post pics of the final project hopefully in a few weeks...

A little froggie??

I sat Ashlyn on the floor last night and she stayed upright for a couple seconds! She looked like a little frog the way she leaned forward on her arms. She is not quite strong enough yet, but will be sitting on her own in no time I'm sure.

5 Months Old

Ashlyn turned 5 months old on Jan 3rd! She has developed quite a personality for a young little girl and is smiling and laughing all of the time. She really enjoys looking at the "baby in the mirror" and thinks that she is pretty funny. It's hilarious. She has been eating rice cereal for about a month now and is doing well with that. She has also fallen into a good routine of going to bed around 8:00 or 8:30 pm and sleeping through the night until 5:00 or 6:00 am. We are working on rolling over, but haven't mastered that skill yet. I figure she will figure it out on her own time. She is starting to like tummy time more now, so that should help, and she has started to pull her legs up under herself when on her stomach and pushes up on her forearms. It's amazing how she has changed over the months and is such a sweetheart!
