Today I decided to check out how big Ashlyn can be before she outgrows her infant carrier carseat since it is quite heavy to carry her in it these days! I found out the limit is 22 lbs. I was thinking that Ashlyn was approaching this limit and we haven't been to the doctor to see how much she weighs recently, so I weighed myself with her and alone and it turns out she is 20 lbs now! So we need to get her "bigger girl" car seat in the car soon (I think that is dad's job tomorrow :)) So we were testing that out in the house today as you can see in the pictures. Then I decided to see if Ashlyn would drink out of a sippy cup. It just so happens she likes apple juice! Go figure since she eats pretty much anything. I had to put it up to her mouth once and she just took it on her own and started drinking. I don't know where my baby went!!!

8 Months Old!
Ashlyn turned 8 months old this past Friday! I haven't posted in a while as we have seemed to be busy as always. Well, we still aren't crawling. However, we can turn in circles on our tummy which doesn't get us anywhere or get the things that are just out of our reach! Ashlyn has made some advancements though, as she has gotten from sitting to her tummy as she was reaching for toys a couple of times. We've also tried some finger food recently....which led to some funny faces as the texture of a cherrio wasn't as expected. I think she is getting used to it now as she will eat them without spitting them out or throwing all of them on the floor for Shotzy to eat! I can tell Shotzy is going to be in heaven soon as Ashlyn starts eating more and more food :) Ashlyn still has not had any teeth come through yet. We're thinking it will happen soon, as she has had some periods of fussiness recently which I think might be due to teething, however we've said that at various times over the last 3 months so we'll see if any teeth break through soon! Other than that not much else is new. We're waiting patiently for some warmer weather to arrive so we can get out for some walks and just enjoy the outdoors some more.
What a concentrator! The tongue is out and everything :)
