More Christmas in Colby!

Christmas Day we had a nice lunch with the Hoernke's! Of course Grandpa Dave and Grandma Karen (a.k.a. applesauce Grandpa & Grandma) were there and Grandma Mae was able to drive over and join us as well. She got to meet Brielle for the first time so that was nice! The Hoernke/Oney bunch! (Derrick, Jen, Austin, Jake, Joel & Jeremy)

Christmas in Colby...

We had a great Christmas at the Resturaunt celebrating with the Hesgard's on Christmas Eve! We had great food, great company and Ashlyn was happy as could be with Grandma Debbie's famous "cherry drink!"

Brielle hung in there at the party like a champ. She wouldn't give into much of a nap all night even though she snuggled up nice and close to aunt Stacy at the end of the night :)

Christmas at Home!

Ashlyn's favorite saying as she was opening presents from Santa..."Do I have more?" We tried to teach her about the 'giving' part of Christmas but she really liked the 'getting' this year. She did enjoy everything about Christmas this year though. The lights, the tree, her Christmas program at Daycare and presents! It was nice to hear her say one day though..."Is it Christmas yet? It's Jesus' birthday on Christmas."

Even Brielle liked the presents. Well maybe just the wrapping paper!

Christmas with the Braun's up North

There was just enough snow up in Phillips for the girls to do a little sledding the weekend before Christmas. We celebrated with Grandpa Mick & Grandma Jeannie (a.k.a up north granma and papa), my sisters, their significant others, and their kiddos. The guys did a little ice fishing and we all had a good time playing 'horse races!' Brielle hanging out with Grandpa.

Our 7 Month Old...

I have been taking monthly pictures of Brielle with this bear and she has definitely passed up the bear! We are still working really hard on crawling...and I mean really hard. We will go into Brielle's room if she wakes up at night and she will be up on her hands and knees trying to crawl when she should be sleeping! Ashlyn tries to teach her every now and then how to do it. Any day now we're sure she is going to take off even though we secretly want to stop her :) New winter hat!

Christmas Cookie Time!

Ashlyn couldn't wait to do Christmas cut-out cookies this year! We had our fair share of a mess when it was all over but she did have a lot of fun. A few (or everyone!) of Ashlyn's cookies got a bit "sprinkle" heavy!

Ashlyn's Christmas Program!

Ashlyn was so excited for her Christmas program this last Friday for daycare. She had so much fun singing their songs and we were so proud of how great she did in front of a pretty packed Church! She is the second one from the left.

Brielle - 6 Months Old

Our littlest munchkin is 6 months old already! I say this all the time but I really don't know where the time goes!!! I also say this all the time...but Brielle continues to be a happy laid back baby :) She is growing and was up to 16 lbs (50th percentile) and 26.75 inches long (75th percentile) at her 6 month check-up. Brielle can sit up for short periods of time by herself now and her balance is getting better every day. We are getting closer to crawling as well. She goes backwards while on her tummy and gets up on her hands and knees and is doing the rocking thing. She tries so hard to go forward but just hasn't figured it all out quite yet. It will be soon though and then we'll be in trouble! Smiley girl! Trying to make a move for it...

Happy Halloween!

Our Tinkerbell was so excited to go Trick-or-Treating this year! As we were getting her costume on she was bouncing off the walls. She didn't know what to do to contain her excitement as she was talking away asking what mommy and daddy were going to wear for a costume and she couldn't wait to put Brielle's banana costume on. She definately enjoyed the holiday this year :)

Brielle - 5 months old

Brielle didn't want to give us many smiles the morning she turned 5 months old but we took pictures anyway! She is growing up way to fast for my liking but is such a good baby I can't complain :) She is still a great sleeper and she has the cutest expressions and sounds, which makes us smile and laugh everyday! Our 2 sweethearts! Ashlyn was in mid "cheese"...

Getting ready to have her first taste of solids... Not entirely sure what to think of that oatmeal! She did eat quite a bit though, however, the second time we tried to feed it to her she didn't seem to like it as much. We'll try again soon!
