Brielle - 4 Months Old

Our littlest girl is growing and doing so well! This last month she has mastered rolling from her back to her stomach. Once on her stomach she enjoys tummy time for a bit but then gets quite angry as she hasn't quite figured out how to roll back onto her stomach. Although at night she has found out that she is quite comfy sleeping on her tummy!

This past month we have officially decided she is a "thumb sucker." No matter how hard we tried to get her to take a pacifier (and believe me we tried - we bought at least 7 different brands), she had other ideas! She does look pretty cute sucking on that little thumb when she gets tired, but the bad part is you can't take away that thumb when she gets older! Oh well...

She has also continued to sleep really well and had been sleeping 10-12 hours a night without waking up. However, just recently we've regressed a little bit but we think that is because she is going through a growth spurt and is needing to eat more often which means she has been up during the night a bit again.

At her four month doctor visit we found out she is now 12 lbs 14 oz (25th percentile) and 25" long (75th percentile). Everything checked out good and she is doing great! Brielle loves telling us stories and is babbling a lot lately as well as blowing bubbles and "raspberries" :) She is also quite fond of her big sister as she smiles at her and enjoys watching her play and run around!

September 2011

Brielle is growing so fast and loving new things every day. She likes being upright and jumping away in her Jumperoo! And no our house is not that cold!!! We were heading outside on a somewhat cool day and I set her in her jumperoo for just a bit. She was looking too cute so I had to snap a pic :) Ashlyn and her 2nd cousin Jaylen playing dressup when they were here visiting from Iowa! What cuties!!!

First day of daycare...

Along with the celebration of her big sisters birthday, that week Brielle turned 12 weeks old. This meant that Mommy had to go back to work and Brielle had her first day of daycare. She didn't seem to mind as we got her ready for the day as she was smiling and giggling away in her carseat right before we left :) She has been in daycare for a week and a half now and has been getting used to it there as she is napping and eating better than she did the first few days and the teachers say she is happy and tells them lots of stories throughout the day.

Ashlyn was so excited and proud to have her little sister come to daycare with her. Her teachers said she talked about her sister being in the baby room all day long!

Happy 3rd Birthday Ashlyn!

We have had a busy month of August already and we started out by celebrating Ashlyns 3rd birthday! She was very excited for her birthday this year and knew that she was going to turn "three on August three!" It is crazy to think that our first baby girl is three already and has grown into a little lady. She literally amazes us every day with the things she says and does. We love you Ashlyn!!!

A new "big girl bike" from Dad and Mom. I think the other kids at the party were more excited than Ashlyn. She wasn't so sure about her new bike...hopefully she will gets lots of use out of it next summer.

Ashlyn had lots of fun opening her gifts from other as well as opening multiple gifts she wrapped herself that morning. They were Brielle's baby toys we had already at the house...she sure is something :)

Brielle's 2 mth check up

Brielle had her 2 month well-baby checkup today! The not so good part was the 3 shots they gave her :( We did however find out that she gained over 4 pounds and grew 4 inches since she was born. She is at 11 lbs 5 oz and 23.25" long. This is 60th percentile for her weight and 85th percentile for her height! We have another tall girl on our hands :) Ashlyn is also quite tall for her age. Everything checked out great and our little girls is perfectly healthy! We are so very lucky and blessed!

Brielle's Baptism - 7/10/11

Brielle was baptised this past weekend. We were joined to celebrate by our wonderful family! Uncle Derrick and Aunt Kayla were sponsors.
