Brielle - 6 Months Old

Our littlest munchkin is 6 months old already! I say this all the time but I really don't know where the time goes!!! I also say this all the time...but Brielle continues to be a happy laid back baby :) She is growing and was up to 16 lbs (50th percentile) and 26.75 inches long (75th percentile) at her 6 month check-up. Brielle can sit up for short periods of time by herself now and her balance is getting better every day. We are getting closer to crawling as well. She goes backwards while on her tummy and gets up on her hands and knees and is doing the rocking thing. She tries so hard to go forward but just hasn't figured it all out quite yet. It will be soon though and then we'll be in trouble! Smiley girl! Trying to make a move for it...

Happy Halloween!

Our Tinkerbell was so excited to go Trick-or-Treating this year! As we were getting her costume on she was bouncing off the walls. She didn't know what to do to contain her excitement as she was talking away asking what mommy and daddy were going to wear for a costume and she couldn't wait to put Brielle's banana costume on. She definately enjoyed the holiday this year :)

Brielle - 5 months old

Brielle didn't want to give us many smiles the morning she turned 5 months old but we took pictures anyway! She is growing up way to fast for my liking but is such a good baby I can't complain :) She is still a great sleeper and she has the cutest expressions and sounds, which makes us smile and laugh everyday! Our 2 sweethearts! Ashlyn was in mid "cheese"...

1st Time eating Oatmeal...Oct 1st, 2011

Getting ready to have her first taste of solids... Not entirely sure what to think of that oatmeal! She did eat quite a bit though, however, the second time we tried to feed it to her she didn't seem to like it as much. We'll try again soon!

Brielle - 4 Months Old

Our littlest girl is growing and doing so well! This last month she has mastered rolling from her back to her stomach. Once on her stomach she enjoys tummy time for a bit but then gets quite angry as she hasn't quite figured out how to roll back onto her stomach. Although at night she has found out that she is quite comfy sleeping on her tummy!

This past month we have officially decided she is a "thumb sucker." No matter how hard we tried to get her to take a pacifier (and believe me we tried - we bought at least 7 different brands), she had other ideas! She does look pretty cute sucking on that little thumb when she gets tired, but the bad part is you can't take away that thumb when she gets older! Oh well...

She has also continued to sleep really well and had been sleeping 10-12 hours a night without waking up. However, just recently we've regressed a little bit but we think that is because she is going through a growth spurt and is needing to eat more often which means she has been up during the night a bit again.

At her four month doctor visit we found out she is now 12 lbs 14 oz (25th percentile) and 25" long (75th percentile). Everything checked out good and she is doing great! Brielle loves telling us stories and is babbling a lot lately as well as blowing bubbles and "raspberries" :) She is also quite fond of her big sister as she smiles at her and enjoys watching her play and run around!
